NFL linebacker Pete Werner of the New Orleans Saints married his longtime love, Emily Chernoff, on March 22, 2025, in a beautifully styled celebration in Indianapolis. The couple, who have known each other since high school and began dating in college, exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony at Saint Joan of Arc Church.

The reception, held at the historic Scottish Rite Cathedral, embraced a vintage Italian garden party theme. Emily wore a beaded Rosa Clará gown, while Pete donned a classic black tuxedo. The evening was brought to life with a live performance by the Endless Summer Band, a gourmet multi-course dinner, and a three-tiered cake topped with a replica of their dog, Tony.

Adding personal touches, Emily honored her Irish heritage with a bagpipe recessional and tossed a floral-painted football instead of a traditional bouquet.

Surrounded by 300 guests, including several of Pete’s current and former teammates, the couple described their wedding as an unforgettable celebration filled with laughter and cherished memories. They plan to split their time between New Orleans and Indianapolis and look forward to starting a family in the near future.
